Let him choose how to play the game that is the point of this section, don't criticize them for selling items for at a high amount because it's the basis of supply/demand. Their is only few red knifes in the game, they were sold in the auction at a high amount so it only makes sense for the person to try to sell it a higher price then it was when they bought so they could not only get shells for money, but for also trading more things in game. Yeah a bee dagger is alright, but look at the market in real life.

Last year when the PS4 was released its supply was very low almost to the point that people were selling them for over 500 dollars because the demand was very high so people would pay anything to get one. While their was hundreds of PS3 sitting on shelves, but the demand for them was about medium while the supply was high.

Look at the PS4 like the mushroom knifes, the different color mushroom knifes supply are very low, but their demand is high so the only way to get the most out of it is to sell it a higher price than other items because their is only few in game.

The thing is you can play different games on the ps3, but with the mushroom knife you can only do about 4 things; Kill npcs, kill players, take bases, and pick mushrooms...
