You yourself has to take over a gang base 100 times. This just means that you have to be the one to bring the final hit to the flag to make it 0/50. This does not mean you need to bring the flag from 50/50-0/50. As long as you are the one who brought the final blow to make it 0/50 it is considered as "solo"-ing the base once.
