If everyone has ec items then they will become worthless, the point is they take time to earn.
This has been suggested many times before and denied. If the EC prices went down items would be far too easy to obtain. Event coins should only be earned through events, hence the name Event Coins. As it is there are already several different ways to get EC. Free ECs still take place and doing achievments will get you an EC piece. Event Items are becoming less rare already and if prices were to be lowered they would not be special and everyone would have them.
