I think the hotel is there for nostalgic purposes.
It's one of the oldest standing buildings on Era-- It's been in that same position on the map since 2004ish.
Back in the day, before houses, Deliday Hotel was a player-operated business.
They would rent out hotel rooms to other players for a weekly fee.

if those "useless" buildings were removed.you'll take about less than 30 mins to explore the whole of iEra.
They might serve no purpose in your eyes,but there's still a minority of players that roleplay.
Perfect example will be Astro bar,there are predators flooding that place all day long and yet,if you think about it that building has nothing but a couple of repeated music and a dance floor.

by the way, Era hotel is stolen from era pc. but pc era's hotel is better since the elevator buttons are clientside, you can actually rent rooms and park your car in the garage
