Pillow shade i think would be easy to edit.

Pillow shading is very easy to edit, you should never pillow shade though.
It makes your graphics looks ugly and dirty.
Imagine the sun hitting the right side of the gun, that means there will be brighter colors in that area.

So it would go something like Dark colors > bright colors.
Try to limit your colors though. Too much colors can make it look very ugly.

Does the top one look good now? i made the reflection of light at the top, more faint.

Ill try that, i added a very faint grey but it couldnt be seen. Im also trying to add more length to the top view of the gun.

The light source is to the very top of the page. I did it so it would be fast to color, shade and edit. Also both sides would have equal shade.
