Well, owning one, I've noticed that people would generally attack me by spinning around me with either a melee or gun such as the BAR.

It is not that hard, use a gun with spread is my advice. The Chem user moves extremely slowly when firing, even with the huge hit box it does not make the chem invincible.

play against chem users making them chase you, lol
stick and move, they're immobilized half the time and if you avoid getting trapped you'll probably do fine
large spread guns are the best for this because of Chem's extremely low spread/precise fire patterns
so maintaining distance and separate X/Ys will probably win you the spar
Suggesting you use the PBP Auto Rifle, M8A1, maybe even the M4 if you're relying on the spread and not the speed
