Yeah it's not only spar logic though, it's just how the game works, a player only receives damage when a bullet hits the shadow(that small circle black patch) under his/her character.

It's not suppose to be smart, but it's because we don't really care since it's an old issue.

Even I'm too lazy to explain why people don't take damage despite being hit.

There was once a staff who wanted to make a rectangular-shape arena to prevent players from bottom hugging all the time.

Not sure about having a circle arena.
