Great choice for a major. Google is hard to get into but don't worry you can get other internships if you get denied easily. Don't juts look at technology companies or companies like google, apply at Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase, etc. You would be surprised how many companies hire software engineers and the best way to get a fulltime job is to do a internship.
Go for it, the worst that can happen is that they say no so it's worth trying.
