I'll explain more later but basically, put all the K's on one side. and all the things without K's on the other. You don't have to be specific with sides unless it makes you more comfortable that way.

To undo addition, you subtract.
to undo subtraction, you add.
to undo multiplication, you divide
to undo division, you multiply.

The final goal is to get K by itself.

Subtract 7k - 4k = 3k
(Subtracting, but why? 7k is a big number and 4k is small, therefore minus the big to the smallest)

39 = 3k + 6
Subtract 39 - 6 = 25
(You must have the 3k alone! So subtract the 6 with 39! 39 - 6. If 6 was negative [39 = 3k - 6] then it'll be adding to 39, but in this case, it'll be subtracting)

3k = 33
(Okay.. Almost there.. Lets leave the k alone, or the variable, divide 3 by both side. 3k / 3, 3 is cancelled! 33 / 3, do the math!)
k = 11

~subtract like terms: 39-6 is 33=7k-4k is 3k which becomes 33=3k
~simplify to the most: 33=3K is ur answer at the moment but u need the Ks to become K not 3K so simplify it to K, since its 3K, u should divide it by 3, but u should divide the number on the other side by 3 too, 33/3=3K/3 which becomes 11=K
~make the K on the first side( I don't know about u but its needed in our school): 11=K therefore it becomes K=11
