No you can't. Under your own status, there aren't any newbie head for you to click on, so you can't add yourself reputation.

To multi quote. Hover your cursor over it.
Say for example you want to reply to more than one post from members. You click the plus sign on that post and then the next post and then reply to quote, it should show more than one [QUOTE] [QUOTE/] or however the code goes with the multiple messages and you can respond to each one below the quoted message without having that "---updated message---" lined in gray.
