Why Are Old Items Disapearing?

The petal scythe is nearly impossible to find
Remember 2013? The stpatty dagger that was super common and worth like 100 tro?
You remember that right? WHERE THE HELL DID IT GO its extinct!
It use to be so common everywhere you go it was THERE now its impossible to find
Where are these items going
I want an explantion

My guess is the items belonged to players who have discontinued playing at some point or become inactive. I sold my petal scythe about a week ago and I still have many old things like the St. Patty dagger you refer to

It lies on the old dusty inventories.

Well I'm sure their are some and as for an explanation, not everyone continues to play Era people move on. So the people who held those old items eventually quit and never returned. This being said it's not a very accurate explanation but it's what I can think of at the moment.

I still have mines I have tons of melees that collects dust in my inventory lol

Let's say an item from the holiday shop from 2012 was bought 6000 times. (1 per player)

So once 3 years pass, most of those players quit. Now what happend to those items? Well they're stuck in their inventory, of course.

Also some people lose their unidentified accounts so that removes even more items.


So limited items don't seem very limited at first, it takes a few years to notice that they are.

Most players quit, so they'll be extinct in the future. Hopefully in the future, they turn into an auction item, cheap of course.

The Playercount wasn't as big as it is now,where almost 3-3.5k are online on weekends.
Adding on to all the explanations,I think players might've hoarded these older items,resulting in you rarely seeing them.
In fact,I've seen particular players having 5 or more scepters.
