Treadmill trick on iPad?

Is there a way to do that treadmill trick where you're running and you press gang chat so it holds on iPad? I've tried a number of times and i can't seem to make it work, and no, i'm not going to sit there for 15 minutes with my hand on the screen ;-;.

Instead of pressing the gang chat button, press on the status button. Works for me when I'm on iPad.

It doesn't work either i just stop running all together.

Even those require heat to work they dont generate heat they allow it to pass more easlily through the cloth of reghlar gloves to ur phone screen
