Identical Threads/Bumping

Alright, folks there's one thing I need to talk about right now
For example, I post a thread talking about how Astro should be removed.
XstarX comes along and closes the thread because it was identical to a thread made
a while ago. If I post on that original thread, I'll be criticised for bumping.

Not saying this has happened but it seems pretty stupid to close identical threads
since we would want to create a new and updated conversation or debate with some newer
people.

It's generally a bad thing to bump old threads and I'm fully aware of that.
Criticise this thread as much as you want, literally!
I want opinions from you guys and maybe even an answer that I wasn't aware of.

Who knows why mods close identical threads, as you said it is an updated version of the previous. Discussing with new players and getting fresh opinions.
I'm glad this was bought up again, I must praise you on that.

Bumping old threads that weren't quite fully answered isn't bad, unless you have no good reason for bumping it.

The reason we close threads and direct your attention to a previously made one is because we want to reduce same topic threads as much as we can. We also merge similar threads with one another to continue the conversation. If you think we are doing a bad job, and would rather see us do something that you think is better, please let us know, and we will do our best to make sure your forum experience is a good one.
