To my understanding, the Default Rifle's the only gun with actual consistent uploads toward development (even only cosmetically.) The Honey Badger's a little less than remarkable as a gun and with the Default Rifle, you've got a bit more customization. That alone probably settles how I'd handle the decision.

It's all up to you, but maybe you should comment the other guns you've got so people can help you decide what sections of a weapons arsenal you haven't covered so far. We don't know if you need a Default Rifle or a Honey Badger; you might have an M4 and just need a gun completely out of both of their archetypes.
