Limited Hats!- An idea to spark "rare hats"

I don't see why not. People would love to get some limited edition valuables. One problem is that a large part of the population wouldn't even get a chance to see the hats in shop because of how limited it is unless the stock is fairly large enough or if it's sold in waves (e.g. 200 every 8 hours in a day for a total of 600 produced).

One cool thing to add for this idea is serial numbers. Some limited edition items are tagged with a number to say which number the hat was in the production line (e.g. #5 of 250). This could be tied to a chat command or perhaps a new menu on a player's profile so they can prove authenticity a bit better, somewhat like achievements showing how many kills/hours/etc a player has. An option to hide a hat from their rare hat list would be in need as well.

Oh, I got the idea off a thing I saw at a store that had the sticker "300 piece limited set"

It's interesting but there will be the issue of "I didn't get hat #freeEC", but I really do love the idea.

I'm the proud owner of two hats that nobody else owns and I think making more hats rare would me neat.

Doesnt everything that happens in era cause a mob of #FreeEc
