Limited Hats!- An idea to spark "rare hats"

As many of you guys know, i've been working on a project known as "Eralds toy shop"
I've had this project going on for a long time. I've been wanting to make a shop that no one has ever made, a shop unique within.
I've been thinking about this idea for a while now.

"Limited hats"
And by limited hats i literally mean it. There will be a stock of 300-1,000 on each hat, once sold out, the hats will never appear again.


Here's a brief explanation of what I just stated:
- i make a hat
-I'll add it to my shop (If my project does get added)
-I'd request for an ammount for the hat to have.In this ocassion, 550.
-Once 550 people buy the hat, it's gone forever.

I know this has its downs, but it's better to be sad over a hat you didn't get rather then everyone having access to a hat that you could by whenever.
(Don't worry, these "hats" won't be released too often)

What do you guys think? I'm open for suggetions.

Awesome, and creative too. Like a grab n' go type deal. Do remember the different timezones, maybe publish a hat at a different time so other zones can get it.

It's interesting but there will be the issue of "I didn't get hat #freeEC", but I really do love the idea.

I'm the proud owner of two hats that nobody else owns and I think making more hats rare would me neat.

Ace, I like your idea..reminds me of classic having the same concept. (Sorta) Pffft..We're talking era here, not classic. Many players that see someone wearing one of your hats will be like "Hey where did you get that hat? I want it" Limited editon, thats the best part.

I've always wanted the "limited editions".
Not the ones that were sold in the past and never sold again.
The ones with only certain numbers that were sold.
I really like this idea.
