i think the notification should be where the streaking updates go

The problem I see with this idea is that it takes the meaning of "Appear offline" away. Sometimes people don't want to be seen online as it encourages spam from other people. For example, person A is very popular but doesn't want to add a bunch of people and doesn't enjoy constant spam. Person B doesn't really know person A, but loves to pm them. Person A gets annoyed and does not want to recieve spam like that, so appears offline, rather than blocking the person and showing annoyance.

Yes, thats why if they have the setting so they appear offline, you won't get a notification when you are online

i have this possibly great idea to add into era, so what it does is sets a option on "More Actions" called Notify when online (NWO for short) and whenever your loved ones / friends get online you will be aware!
