Lol,you get more money in pizza then that.
In mining it depends on the type of mineral you get.

    I just trade the rocks
They want to see you do good.
    But never better than them.

    Remember that.

There are some slight errors in your calculations. I have tested this several times with 1000 rock grinding sessions and on average 1 rock is 3.8 gralats. At level 0 mining you earn at best about 500 gralats an hour. After a year or two of mining, you are around level 50 and you are earning a whopping 1K gralats an hour. After another 6 months to a year you are at level 75 and you are making 2K an hour. And if you continue on and make it to level 99 (after at least another 6 months to a year of mining) you would be making theoretically 46K an hour. You never make at that rate in reality cause you cant manually tap fast enough, it takes time to change mining position, and every 800 rocks (4+ minutes) you are going to have to stop and spend time to recharge your battery.
When you compare how much money you could have made spending all that time mining on making pizzas (which starts out day 1 at 2-3K an hour and holds that level forever) you might (or might not) wonder if mining really was worth it. Clearly mining, only after you get to level 80 or so, beats every other job in graal for gralats earned per hour, but is it worth the price you pay to get there? It's easy to say yes until you try it.

For making that quantity of graalats, first you have to make 4000 pizzas, to have access to the veteran pizza, that's where the pizzas are more worthful, so making 2k-3k graalats on day 1 is not true, but is easy to get on that room.

Mining is a good job if you look it on the positive way, you can actually sell each rock for 3 shells, making it worth 3 times more than it actually cost, many traders can be blind about this and offer you a good quantity, also if you're a miner you literally don't have to worry about upgrading your gun when is rusty, since the amount of minerals you have is tremendous.
