Yeah, I refused to date until I was in grade 10.
BUT I did end up having a boyfriend I really liked in grade 6 and it lasted until grade 8. So I mean, we dated for 3 years. That's longer than some high school, or even adult relationships I've seen.
But it really just depends on the maturity of the couple (which a lot of middle schoolers don't have)
Plus I do know people who have married their high school sweetheart when they got older after they started dating in grade 9.
I always thought kids dating that young was pointless but hey, you could possibly meet the person you spend the rest of your life with
