Dont' get Proximity Mine Kill?? :/

I was digging and looked in my inventory, I noticed I had a lot of proximity mines. I began placing them around near my digging area to protect me from a bit of pk. A lot of people died from them that tried to kill me:00 but I didn't get awarded the kills :'(
Is it just a glitch? Do mines and other traps give you the kill if someone dies by one you placed? Thank you

Are you sure they died from the mine? Or by crabs? It could also be a glitch, not too sure.

Yes I am absolutely sure, no crabs were around and they didn't die from stray bullets. They walked near and blew up into pieces from them, lol

It's not a glitch. It depends where the owner is by the mine and that mine won't give you a kill, either. You might! But chances are unlikely.

Why not just go with frag kills or such? Frag kills or projectile weapon kills count.

Its true. If people are killed with your mines the kills dont count anymore i tried
