Isn't it already capped to how many you can sell at once?

Not that i'm aware of but why would it be capped at 1,000?

I'm assuming, because they probably didn't expect people to keep that many shells in one setting. I don't dig anymore, but it would be nice to sell a certain amount of shells to the NPC. Just wasting money on tables to sell those shells? Sure you get more money back, but it's a hassle.
