Rude? She could've chosen a Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Colombian, Mexican, Russian or American setting; they all have/had very notorious mafias. Storm never specifically said that "all Italian people are part of the mafia", she was merely just stating that she thought it would be a nice theme to do, scenery wise and storyline wise. Pretty sure she chose it because a lot of Era is centered around Italian themed mafias...
