Why is the hair full black? Add some light colors in! As for the skin. The skin is too bright and too simple. Add in a shade color. You should really start to study and learn pixel art then editing a head.

Some artists can observe when editing, but most of them simply recolor, which will not do much.

plus if that hair is true black you're going to have to change it anyways. practice with lighter blacks to create a shading pattern and have it fade off into darker colors around the edges.

P.S. Idk if some of you guys can ever tell the difference between cat ears and hats.

This is not true apparently. If the cat ears are in a different color from your hair and it looks like cat ears just thrown in there, we will consider as a hat. If the cat ears are in the same color as a the hair, we would consider it part of the head.

This is not true apparently. If the cat ears are in a different color from your hair and it looks like cat ears just thrown in there, we will consider as a hat. If the cat ears are in the same color as a the hair, we would consider it part of the head.

If it's not true then why did my attempts at uploading get turned down for "hat" when IN FACT it was all the same color? Some of the upload admins obviously don't know the difference.
