Kieran, there is a whole variety of games to play and people to meet. You just need to find the right one. Joining clans is fun as well and raiding each other. You can also trade, use the trade currency to earn money and buy items. You probably needed friends to help, I guess that's why it was boring for you.

Play GarrysMod DarkRP, Jobs, drugs and gangs, raiding and bases. Really fun for the price of 10$
I do play it sometimes, but not much recently.
I think my controller broke because of it.
