Question Any guides on how to use the NEW Online Gani Editor

Its been a few times since i tried using the online gani editor
i was so used to the offline editor (even tho i had issues with invis sprites and stuff)

I was able to create a reload gani of an MP5 i made, it seems i have to upload this as a file to the server (dev_apocalypse) and it worked, when i try opening it to update the sprites i wasnt able to open it and my game hanged
and pressing Save and Save As wont work at all and it wasnt stored on the server

    *restarts*

this is a really complex editor
I know how to add sprites, add and remove frames, change time and position
i dont know how to: rotate (probably a new feature) and edit the gani file and save it while on the server.
if anyone is able to know how to use this can you give step by step tips so i can understand this editor a bit more?

    Thanks

You should cut sprites using the online editor, save the file, go to offline editor, open the file, and gani it there,
I don't like making ganis on the online editor, because umm, I just don't like it,

I don't remember how to cut the sprites using the online editor anymore, it's been awhile since I made
    A gani XD, sorry.

Hey martin! I've been doing gani's for over 4 years and I still prefer the offline editor then the online one, The online was is still really buggy, Last time I heard tashkin told me that it was not working properly on saving files, Make sure you check if it's in your documents as sometimes it saves ganis in your documents.

To be able to use the Online gani editor I think you have to be a staff on a server that has one, What slapjack means by downloading is copying and pasting the script to a server.

If you'd like to check out the script check out this link http://www.graalians.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23901

Hi! I might make a guide for the online graalshop later.

Using rotate isnt that hard actually,
3.14 will rotate your sprite 180°
1.57 will rotate your sprite 90°
-1.57 will rotate your sprite -90°

It's also much easier to add light effects, try adding a light4.png sprite and change the alpha and colors, you'll see

I think it doesnt always save the gani straight to the server, on most servers it saves your ganis in to a 'scriptfiles' folder located in your Graal folder.

I can make a video on how to use the online editor and the offline editor. I'd rather use the offline editor as a non gani staff. And i'll show how to make the sprites visible.

Make sure you Import the sprite definitions first, then add it.
If that doesn't work try using gimp. In gimp, open your image.
    Then Select Image>Mode>Indexed
    After that, File>Export As>Make it a PNG file>Export
Don't click save as or it will make it a XCF file. So make sure you save the indexed image to your gani folder WHILE EXPORTING IT. Graal>Levels>Ganis
Try using it the image after that.
    Hope this helps.
