I don't think sharing an account with someone in the same house is illegal but if it's a random person like u don't know at all then yeah thats illegal.

Also forgot if it's someone that's like family to u then in my opinion I don't think it's wrong to share ur acc with that person especially if that person gets a lot of trust from others.

Account sharing is looked down upon due to how many people lose their accounts to it. Whether or not it's legal is beyond me but I personally advise against it and don't see why it should be improved upon.

It's in the rules that players shouldn't share accounts and a lot of people argue that it's okay because "it's their friend" and they trust them, or that it's the "their risk". But it's not allowed because so many cases of account sharing end up leading to issues, whether it be someone stealing your items, messing something up with your account/items/furniture, or other. And even though it's "your risk", the majority of the time it leads to issues, no one takes responsibility, and even if someone takes responsibility, staff need to deal with your complaining after the mistake is made. It's easier to make it illegal and prevent further issues then leave it up to risk and cause more issues.

argh again this thread wasnt really about if its illegal or legal to share. Everyone knows its not illegal but its frowned upon. Because of this it is very unlikely that staff would change anything to help improve the experience of someone sharing their account. If you try to login when someone is on ur account it kicks them off and if u login right away you will login. It gives the other person on your account a notification that you tried to login so obviously they should text u and you can talk about it. You could also text ur friend ahead of time and ask if hes on ur account right now. I dont understand why you dont have better communication with your friend.

Well for me it should be legal cause like everyone's sharing and nobodys getting banned
this is like for a caution when sharing accounts:

New Rule: Account sharing is legal
Do at your own risk
We will not help you if your account information is stolen, hacked or taken
Be careful
