Dual Saber or Ion Katana?

As bitzsam said, they are both the same. I find the ion katana to be better in combat, but the double saber has better animations.

Snipers garbage, the invis is useless. You should completely disappear then it might be useful. But lots of people play then nametags on so then again its still crap.

Ion katana looks like the katana you get for ion carbine. If you want it, get ion carbine.

Just to clarify the spin attack isn't just a different animation, it attacks in a 2 square radius around your character. To put this into perspective a normal melee attack only hits at a range of 1 tile and only in the direction you are facing.

The spin attack can hit people who are diagonal/ multiple people at once, and because of the extended attack radius it makes it really good for attacking people who are trying to run away, or to get some free hits on people trying to melee you who aren't looking in your direction.

If it was just an animation that didn't do anything it would have been part of the default attack

When is this attack useful? When do you have 6 players on a perfect circle around you?
If you say fort then you are right and wrong, just by the video that i've seen the item is not fast enough to execute the attack enough times like to kill a player in a fort. Basically you'll hit once or maybe twice and you die, if you're lucky a noob around you had 5 hp and you killed him.
