hello, i thought about creating a series of my work called Zzz. Sometimes at night I'll start writing without edits/minor edits and just leave them to die off, but why not post them? todays marks two months since my brother passed and so i wrote up a little poem.

I miss you.
The tender laughs
The memories that made me smirk as I got to live outside my box
My simple yet complex world
Two months ago I wondered so far
Big head pulsing, uncontrollably
The ache could reach those thousands of miles into the clouds
But not far enough to reach you.
And I wonder why it seems that the 23rd repeats itself so viciously
Rolling over, begging the pain to go away
I’m left staring off
Tired of sleepwalking among the stars with nowhere to go
Wanting to go to wherever nowhere was
Just to receive the chance to collide with you again
But as you remain deceased
My thoughts did too
As I slowly laid them to rest
just like they did to you.

You know, the best poems are the ones that tell half a story, where the readers hunger to find out more. It's a cliffhanger, but one that will make people read it twice. This does exactly that.
