What's the Point of Gas Launchers?

I have only seen it once when PurpleMoon used it in base back when I used to base with Candy.

Ive seen a gas launcher use gas bombs for PK in newer players common areas. Most don't use a gas mask there so he use the poison function and got his few quick kills. Basically he was just trying to prove he had the better gun for placing gas bombs since I use them to Pk at the bridge for example.

Anyways, quick question. How do you use the gas launcher? Also, in what way do you think that the gas launcher differentiates itself from the grenade launcher besides the range?

The only way the gas launcher is different from a grenade launcher is that it can shoot gas. While it might not seem effective, using blue gas to just simply impair vision works well. Yes the grenade portion of the gun is what people buy it for, but that doesn't necessarily mean its useless. Also people dont always come equipped with masks so not only does it provide a good counter to rushing doors but can catch people off-guard who aren't prepared with a mask handy. Also its important to note that as I said the sheer amount of gas you shoot regardless acts as a good way to confuse and disorganize your opponent. Not being able to see their character makes ripe pickings.

Compare my 43 EC Grenade launcher to gas bomb launcher, it really is a starter against a Chemical gun. My grenade launcher is 5 damage, 6 clip, reload is insanely long. The fire of rate is medium towards the slower side. Gas launcher, 15 dmg grenade (as told), explosive does knock back, and the blast radius is possibly 2 times bigger than grenade launcher.
I wish I had not bought grenade launcher. It does not kill anyone

Gas launcher is not 15 damage lol, it's 6. That's what I counted when I got hit by it multiple times

Gas launcher yea its op at bases like bh, bbz, pz, tachi even gz if you shoot over walls so it has its uses. Also i'm glad that people don't use the gas feature a lot because it makes a lot of players lag in bases making it impossible to base unless you can base in lag.

for bases like mafia and lethal yea there are also other guns which can shoot over the walls like mini, psg etc. gas is fine as it is.
