Pillow shading is a method of shading, not a mistake. It depends on how you use it. In this situation, I think it looks perfectly fine imo

its method of shading that starter pixel artists use because they dont know the way to shade objects for this object we got the same problem because the size of it but its just not making it look round when the light come from the middle like this it makes it realy weird shaped

maybe he use less bright color i saw he make texture for it too that make it look more round because it kinda hides the pillowshading

i try new way i think you can do it like this and you dont have to add texture and such if you dont want too
basic color on top light on middle and dark at the bottom
How many pixels is that in height?
