    The real problem with the ion carbine and its "bigger" hitbox is that the bullet image is smaller than the radius of damage that it has. For example, as though it might look like you dodged the ion carbine's bullet, you still get damaged because the damage radius of the bullet is not accurately represented by the image it has.
    As a solution you must either make the hitbox smaller, so that it fits the image of the bullet, or make the image of the bullet bigger so that it fits the radius of damage.

    ? The bullet image on the ion carbine is slightly larger than the default bullet, most of that size is in the length of the bullet anyway rather than actual height. As I have said countless times, there is no variable for hitboxes, the hitbox is built into the weapon system as a whole from era pc. It isn't a variable that can be changed on each guns.

    Lag/ delay is a factor you need to account for when witnessing any bullet damaging. The bullet you see on your screen will be in a different position for another player seeing the bullet on their screen.

    The cannon is the most mediocre exotic ever. Why do people even complain about it? The laser is just some useless gfx that looks cool. And the main gun is just a reskinned worse bar. Meanwhile the x75 takes a dump on it in any way possible.

    I wish if u buff the e staff,its not fair to buff flame and ignore e staff,atleast make e staff clip size 25-30

    Neither of the exotic guns base stats are OP. The Staff is worse than the Darkmatter cannon in terms of stats, (worse version of P2Ks) but make up for it by having the hotkey abilities. The laser mode on the darkmatter cannon isn't op at all, it just looks scary because there isn't any other gun like it. Just think of the laser as someone spamming a ion minigun/flamethrower with no spread. You don't instantly die just from touching the laser, you actually take less damage than those 2 guns as the laser only does 3 damage per 0.1 seconds, compared to the ion mini/flame which are 4 damage per 0.1 seconds.
    The only difference is the darkmatter cannon has no bullet travel time, but at the cost of limited range, not being able to change firing directions, a 1 second delay before firing, and limited ammo before needing to recharge which takes longer to fully recharge than just reloading with the flamethrower/ ionmini.
    currently i think there is a problem on the dark matter cannon.

    without taking into account the fact that it is no longer possible to take the base with the laser, it seems that the statistics of the laser have been modified since the improvement of the other weapons (perhaps even before).

    indeed, it should cause 3 damage by 0.1 seconds and thus kill a full life player in 1.66 seconds (not counting the 1 second delay before firing).
    however currently the time it takes to kill a player is 4 seconds, so the time needed to kill 3 players (not counting the 1 second delay before firing).

    In addition, after the loading delay of the laser, it requires 1 second before the target player begins to receive damage.
