gimp, I first downloaded it with the intention of doing digital arts etc, but got lazy and didnt use it, then after some time I started era, and got interested in graphics making/editing, so I practiced with gimp because I heard that you could used it for those stuffs, so yeah, I got used to using Gimp, it looks confusing at first, because too much tools all around..

i use my phone, and i use Iso pix pro and Pixly.

I screw around with Paint.net at times, but it's mostly for small things like an eye color change.
It's kind of easy to use.

Gimp is mostly what i use its pretty simple when you use it for a while. There are enough tutorials on youtube how to make gifs using gimp if you are stuck.

You're an actual OG but MS Paint has limits.

I used MS Paint, Krita, GIMP 2, Photoshop.
Krita and Photoshop really put me off so I went back to GIMP for a while.
I currently use Aseprite and it's really good.
