What's with the Admin Interaction?!

Era, what's up?

So have you guys seen? A few admins have recently appeared at 'Start'! I've personally been loving the more frequent admin interactions; it's an excellent way to get to know those who moderate or develop Era! However, there is something I have noticed when admins attempt to interact with us.

I've heard that some admins are discouraged from appearing because of slandering. Admins, I believe that many here enjoy the company that you all offer. Your willingness to come out of your comfort zone and communicate with the users in Era is a courageous act. I'd like to encourage you, admins, to do it as often as possible. It allows us to get to know you all better and helps us feel more confident in asking for questions or support.

I know that everyone is a different individual, and this thread will not change the way users interact with admins, but I've noticed many users calling admins out for interacting with others. Many say that they are doing it for attention, that they want to show off, users call them "useless admins" or users purposely say bad language to grab the admin's attention. What's up with that type of admin interaction? Let's reconsider why they appear in the first place: they wish to communicate with the users of Era MATURELY. I do not see the benefit of orchestrating negative actions like the ones I stated earlier in this thread. In fact, it makes those who practice this, look immature and silly, and the backlash can be severe on them. So, to prevent any of that, just stop calling admins out. If you have a problem, you can always be constructive and submit feedback through Graal.

As I said, I've personally loved the company that admins offer! I love it when they come to 'Start' to have a simple "get to know each other" session. What do you guy think? Do you enjoy the company admin's company and want to see more of them at 'Start,' or do you feel differently about admins showing up more frequently?

Admins don't have to work 24/7. If they just want to chill for a bit on their staff account they will usually hang out with their friends on graal. Some like to stay stealth always but others like to interact with players more often.

Completely agree with what you said. They work hard enough, I just enjoy the company of admins. I'd love to encourage some who hasn't appeared to say hello for two minutes.

Like i said some just don't want the attention they deserve, they are there to work and that is completely fine.

I always love showing up at the bottom of start and hanging out with random players when there's no work for me to do, chatting with players via pm, and pming random people at start if it's their birthdays, they're asking a question at start, etc and meeting new people whether by me complimenting them or just pming them (or vice versa). It makes me happy to help them and make them happy. I'll never stop socializing with players, and I'm glad to hear you support it because it is true, I'll just be sitting in start and I get way too many accusations of not doing my job, being AFK/lazy, showing off when I'm not doing anything or on tag, and other. I think it's important to grow a relationship with players, that in itself is helping them, and a lot of staff don't do it voluntarily.

That is the point of being an admin. By socialising with the users of Era, you are in no way, not doing your job. Keep it up Zany! I hope to see you at the bottom of 'Start' soon!
