If you turn on the Block all Pms feature in the options you wouldn't have to worry about the swearing in CTF gang chat.
Are you even aware of that feature?
    Why don't you do that?

I am now. You see, I don't have to deal with this because I actually have friends (who are nice people), so I've never had to deal with it. Unluckily for you, it seems you've been exposed to this outside of events. Thanks for letting me know. I'll be sure to do that for my little bro.
    I guess I'm an Uchiha...

Just to clarify, I got my Rinnegan from Hagoromo's huge amount of chakra. My Sharingan is pure. Lol, I'm a weeb.

So I was recently involved in an event known as Capture the Flag (the name of the game explains the function of it). I want to thank Draxx and Fahrenheit for initially pointing out this problem. I would like to question the purpose of Capture the Flag and ponder on whether it should be removed or not.

I may be wrong, but the point of events is to have fun. Having a real fun time in Graal is why admins host events, to entertain users of the game. Now, please tell me how these photos emphasize on having a "fun" time: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1...it?usp=sharing - These comments were just a small percentage of the mountain of hateful comments. I don't have a problem with this, but I'm just curious on why it happens when Graal is supposed to be "kid-friendly," hence, the creation of this post.

I get it; this happens all the time in other games, such as Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Battlefield, COD, etc. Understandably, this is never the intentions of any developer when creating a game, but I've been in other events and have not seen anything like this.

As the forum user, Draxx pointed out, " You honestly think people are gonna work together when they don't even work together in CTF?"

So, I'd like to ask, why do people like CTF? Is it because they enjoy seeing disputes within a community, or is it because the idea of CTF is fun, but is not perfect as an event because of how poorly played CTF is.

If an event doesn't do what a developer wants people to do, which regarding Graal, is to have fun and remain kid-friendly, then the game/event is not working, specifically CTF in my opinion. The admins need to reach a consensus on what to do. Why not remove the team chat, or not play CTF at all? I've begun to realize that team games in the event house have become increasingly ineffective at being fun, making my escape room idea, not feasible.

I don't fully understand CTF and those who play it, so I'd love to hear why CTF should GO or should STAY, and how (if it can be) CTF can improve as an event. This thread is just how I see CTF as an event.

    Thanks!
As you have shown us about the comments in GC (Gang Chat), yes, they may not be the most pleasant comments to read; however, there is an option to not receive Gang chat messages. So, if you're worried about kids swearing their parent(s) can 'tick' that option. Secondly, have you seen kids these days (10 and younger)? They already swear at their parents, I've witnessed it in real life (I remember getting a bar of soap in my mouth when I swore at that age).

I disagree with you on that, due to the fact some of the characters swear themselves in-game. For example: Black Ops 3 Campaign (New world), one of the characters says F*** before the plane crash into the control tower.

At this point in time I wonder if you ever look at the positive feedback that is given (in CTF). Whenever I see my teammates cap a flag I ALWAYS see "GG" or "GJ".

If you don't understand CTF then go play it (What I have bolded/underlined). The ONLY thing that needs to change is staff watching the gameplay instead of waiting for the timer to run out.
Ask me anything and ill try my best to answer

Even then, it would still require an insane amount of dedication (no life) to attend every event and win.

This is why I think ctf should still be an event.

I don't really want it removed
Just set a limit. Seriously same Events in every host and it's been like that for over a year

Lol calm down, I was never insulting you at all. It's funny because I talked about how you need to "decipher" conversations properly so that you don't get the wrong message. It was only a joke (my last comment). A conversation is never constructive when you never understand it properly. I was simply questioning or justifying what I was saying previously, ensuring that the answer you would give me is clear as possible. I was never insulting you bud.
