A while ago, me and another iEra scripter tried for hours to fix this issue to no success. The issue lies within how the play() function is coded behind the scenes, specifically for iOS. It's in the engine itself, which none have access to the underlying code.

Slightly off topic, but a lot of music functionality is broken on mobile. For example: musiclen and musicpos variables straight up don't work on iOS/Android.

We will have to wait for Unixmad to release an update.
