Interesting. Looks like a total of 178,210 experience points to get to the max level of 100.
What's the average experience for a fish? (I know it varies).

Just a note: This formula is incorrect because at level 5 going to level 6 is actually requires 640 exp, whereas the using the formula it evaluates to 650 exp. If anyone, especially people who are level 5+ could post the experience from level to level I could write a new formula that would accurately predict the amount of exp to go from level to level. For now, this formula serves as an approximation and is only accurate for levels 1-4 going on 5.

Heres what I know so far:

    0-1 = 0 exp
    1-2 = 110 exp
    2-3 = 230 exp
    3-4 = 360 exp
    4-5 = 500 exp
    5-6 = 640 exp
    6-7 = 780 exp

    7-8 = 920 exp?
    8-9 = 1060 exp?
    9-10 = 1200 exp?
    10-11 = 1230 exp
    11-12 = 1480 exp?
    12-13 = 1620 exp?
    13-14 = 1760 exp?
    14-15 = 1900 exp?

Feel free to correct any of these if you know the exact amount of exp. These are what I would predict levels 7-14 would be, following the simple pattern from levels 0-6.

    If you know me,
    And I don't know you,
Then I guess I'm famous enough!

Thanks to someone in another thread whose name I forgot (sorry) I was able to find out the exp to go from level to level at any level.

For levels 1-4 there is a clear pattern that can be followed (which I used to create my original formula) but as it is right now, the pattern doesn't last for very long and the difference in exp from level to level changes in such a way that it is difficult to create a formula for the entire 100 levels of fishing.

That said, I have created a formula below that approximates the the exp to go from level to level. It has the same variables as before.

    X = 0.25A2 + 150A

By using a summation technique and this approximation formula, I estimated that the total exp to go from level 0 to 100 is 833,334 exp. If the average fish yields 8 exp (note: IF it is 8 exp. 8 exp is based off of my own experience fishing), you would have to catch around 104,000 fish to level up to 100. However, the rate at which a player catches rarer fish increases as their level increases, and rarer fish yield more exp (to my knowledge) so you would probably have to catch less than 104,000 fish to level up to 100. My guess is by level 100 you would only catch eels and noob fish for the most part. But we'll have to wait and see until someone reaches that level.
