The title is my question. I've been wanting to start making Ganis and maybe eventually try to apply to be a Gani artist for some graal server (classic/olwest/era). But before I go any further I'd like to know what are all my responsibilities as a gani artist and any benefits that I might get.

Not tryna make Gani sound like a pain, but you have to be creative.
Let's say you had to Gani a gun, You'd have to gani:
Walk x4 (Each direction)
Fire x4 (Each direction)
Reload x4 (Each direction)Idle x4 (Each direction)
^ In Offline editor, this is absolutely dreadful so please use an Online editor.
I'm not sure how Online editor works but from what I've heard, it's more efficient.
Make sure you focus and one thing to note: The more frames you have, the smoother your animation will be (but it'll also be bigger).
Responsibilities:
Gani-ing the following:
-Melee's <------ This becomes absolute hell I imagine during the Halloween-Christmas period (remember they have to gani each perspective etc)
-Re-gani-ing old animations which need to look better (e.g. Electric staff [subjective])
-Gani-ing new guns (mostly done by bitzsam as he's pr0).
-Anything that is not a gif image and moves is 100% Gani
On a positive note:
When someone see's your gani and it's amazing they'll be like:
"OMG who made this"
*Looks around shop for NPC's*
*Find your NPC*
*Messages you*
"Omg, Nice gani work. Marry me"
or
"OMG who made this"
*Looks around shop for NPC's*
*Does not find your NPC*
*Messages a staff member asking who made it*
*Staff member PM's them*
*They PM you*
"Omg, Nice gani work. Marry me"
End result, you receive the satisfaction that your mark has been left on iEra.

Definitely "Legit".Gani, SFX,GFX, LAT are more creative based and thus are less likely to get boring in my opinion.
But if you can be satisfied every day for years helping players etc then feel free.

Definitely Gani. I've heard that admins in general get paid gralats, not sure if that's true. And I also heard that Ganis on OlWest do or did get the weapon for free if they made the gani, also not sure if that's true.
