Weird orange food for thanksgiving?!

What??? Yams are good. But i've never tried mashed yams. I'll give you a tip. Buy purple yams, and obviously cook em up, then add some butter to them. Trust me they taste pretty darn good.

Yeah purple yams. It's something Pinoys(Filipino people) eat a lot. And if nobody knew, yes I am Filipino. Anyways, they taste really good. Just make sure when you add the butter, the yam is hot so that it melts in. Then add a little butter on top when it cools down a bit. Then eat that sucker

I love yams :0 in my country we boil them in milk and condensed milk for Xmas. It is served warm and it is very very good lol

I find yams nasty, we make them with sugar and cinnamon, the only way i like yams is when it is a substitute for sweet potato pie.
