Thread: How does the frame limit work?

How does the frame limit work?

I found a head, edited it, and made a gif for it and when i upload it, it gets denied for "too many frames, must be below 150 frames" or something like that. the gif is 2 eye blinks and the blinks are only on the idle and grab parts of the head. so i'm so confused how this is happening. there's a chance it's getting denied by an admin that hates me so she's denying it out of hatred but i doubt it. if someone could explain how the frame system works, that'd be nice.

Since gifs are just movement loops, as the movements are enlarged (e.g. 10-20 frames solely dedicated to blinking) the file gets heavier, thus it reaches a limit and it cant be uploaded. You are always encouraged to simplify your gifs. (JUST A THEORY, A GRAAL THEORY)

Heads that's are over 150 ms are automatically disapproved by the system.

Mines only 8 layers in gimp though. And i've had heads accepted before which were 20+ layers.

That's incorrect if we're thinking of the same thing. I set my blink idle on 4000 ms so it doesn't rapid fire blinking.

It's a glitch in the upload system. Happens to a lot of people. Whenever it happens to me, I just wait a few hours and then reupload. I wait another few hours if it doesn't work and then reupload the file again.
    guess who's been unlinked

Rule of thumb for me is to only add 100ms layers for animations and one layer on 4000ms for idle, also no more than 2 animations or 3 if one is small. I believe files with more than 130k bites get the same error message. Animations usually can be up to 21~ seconds.

When I get this message I usually delete layers that are not needed in an animations.

Yea, trust me, it's not a staff doing it. The server does it.

In the past, it has lagged for me. I've had to do it manually when the server lags, and other times I won't even be able to see the custom it'll disapprove it so quickly. It's likely a glitch or lag though. It auto-denies anything that is 150ms or more, or detected as so.

sooooo... what do i do to get it uploaded? because i've uploaded heads with 20+ layers, and set some layers with 4000 ms. So i have no idea how i can get an acceptable, accepted...
