Hi,

This is not a surprise that the prices is raised on hats, it is is defiantly done on purpose and was done on O’l west as well awhile ago. The reason behind it is to make players spend their gralats so they will buy gralat packs. Also some staff do get paid, not gonna go into the details of that though.

I'm not sure either. However, I think they had a stockpile of resources that were accumulated outside of the timeframe, and used those to gain their gralats.
Or maybe they no-lifed pizza making. I gained like $25,000 in a single week once from doing that.
