Isn't it just bad luck if you hurt others mentally if you commit sucide?

I heard it's really bad to commit suicide because it's like your hurting others. I get this but why is it baddd?

I think it highly depends on the circumstances. If you're an old alcoholic homeless man with no family, then maybe suicide isn't a bad option. But if you have a family, even if you're an autistic, no-life practically alcoholic, there's still someone who will miss you. The only reason I've stayed alive is for my family, I saw my mom and sister cry last night when I brought it up, and that made me reconsider my actions.
