    Paint.net for sure. Something very basic and simple, easy to understand unlike GIMP. But GIMP is definitely necessary cause you can both Index and animate, while Paint.net you can deal with transparency. I have both and use both for different uses

    what about a soft which lets you do everything GIMP and paint lets you do? is there a soft like that?

    I think aesprite works, but its paid. I bought it once but regretted it because I rather have two free apps that do the work (I've also been using it for 4 years now). Aesprite is pretty cool though. You can check it up on their site or Steam.
