What do you use to make graphics?

I wanna know what you guys use to make graphics because i want to do it too.

I see alot of people saying GIMP is what they use and that it is the best but uugh, it looks ugly honestly.

Please, recommend me a few apps to make graphics, whether it be paid or not.

I use Aseprite - it's paid
I really recommend it.
It looks good, awesome functions such as pixel perfect drawing and many more.

What about Adobe Photoshop CS5? Have you tried it? I have it but Im not sure if I can make graphics with it, im watching some tutorials though,

N0, I only ever use MSPaint, and if it's something to do with transparency then paint.net or whatever.

tfw i don't even use gridlines.
