I don’t see how hosting events has anything to do with the forums? Hosting events takes a pretty significant amount of time to host, as well as staff members having to be on their staff accounts to host (computer access). In addition, when staff are on their staff accounts, priority is always given to staff work, not hosting events. Using the forums takes a very small amount of time to do at once, and it can be done anywhere.

It's been discussed, but tbh I don't quite remember where we left off. But we are starting to try and promote more forum activity, which I think is part of why the house rating system is going to use the forums for the final vote between the top three found in-game.
