I personally believe that melee skins would be entertaining to side-work for; however, I do not think that melees necessarily need to have skins available, as most of them are well-designed and graphically-appealing as they already are.

Nonetheless, it may be added as a special event or some form of challenge for a few lucky individuals, or guild. It would require much time and effort from the graphics team, as well, depending on which melee(s) you are speaking of.
