Question why were these status codes removed?

What brought up the reason for the img src codes “vspace=“ and “hspace=“ to get removed from being used anymore? i found it as a creative way to have cool backgrounds by using cached images and honestly i only see its removal a way to shunt more creativity from the players.

It was very "untidy" and some players strated abusing it like putting the admin backgrounds on their status.

i don’t get the untidiness of it, but if they were using the “admin backgrounds” (like from the PMs?) they can still do so by using the body background=imagename code which would make only removing the codes i mentioned above redundant as they still have the latter method, it might not look the same but a naive player would believe it nonetheless
