    What Bitzsam didn't think of

Hi I am LYK and today I will be introducing a revolutionary way to change this flawed basing system that we have had for years.

    Introducing Benchmarked-Ranged Basing (BRB).

Basically, first we need to calculate the LYK-Basing Index (LYKBI) as follows:

Averge number of hours of each member online x average kd of each member online in a gang

For example, the average kd of a gang of 10 men is 2 and the average number of hours of each online member is 500. The LYKBI is 1000.

For example, if the average kd of a pay2win gang is 0.5 and the avg number of hours of each menber is 100, the LYKBI would be 50.

    The concept:
When a gang holds a base, only gangs whose LYKBI is lower than the LYKBI of that gang or within a set range of LYKBI above that of the gang holding the base can take the base (GANGS WITH LYKBI OFF THE RANGE CAN STILL ENTER TO PK OR FORT). So for example, the LYKBI of a gang holding tachi base is 5000. Assume the LYKBI range is 0-8000. So only gangs who are slightly more powerful than the gang or less powerfil than the gang can take the base. The LYKBI of the gang holding the base would then be the "benchmark", which determines the range.

This helps to moderate the competition from tougher dominating gangs as these gangs woulr be pushed to fight other gnags with similar LYKBI.

After a few hours (say, 3 hours,) maybe the restriction would be removed and gangs whose LYKBI fall out of the range can takeover the base if they choose to. The 3 hours gives ample time for developing and gangs with lower LYKBI more leeway in holding a base.

Dominating gangs can choose to strategise by lowering or increasing their LYKBI by kicking/recruiting more members so that their LYKBI falls into the range of yhr benchmarked LYKBI.

Lets say a gang with LYKBI 10000 is holding pirate zone. The range is 0-15000. And a gang wants to take pirate but it has LYKBI 20000. To reduce their LYKBI, they remove 5/10 guys with high kd and high number of hours (and are presumably more skilled). They will then be able to enter pirate to take the base, if they are strong enough. If they take the base, their LYKBI would become the benchmark. They could choose to increase it or decrease the LYKBI by recruiting or kicking, (but honestly their best option is to lower as increasing would introduce more competition) However, if they lower too much means other weaker gangs may be able to take their base.

Looking closely at the equation of LYKBI, as time pass the averge hours of rach player would increase if thr number of members and kd remain the same. This means that the LYKBI would automatically increase, thereby allowing other gangs with high LYKBI (and thereforr stronger) to enter thr base to compete. This means that new gangs would have some time to develop and hipefully get better before their LYKBI allows more powerful gangs to outpower them.

This system helps to reduce domination by powerful gangs as once they lose their base to gangs whose LYKBI is way lower than them, it would be hard for them to get it back. Means that weaker gangs get more opportunity to base and develop. Hopefully this would encourage more players to base.

Under this system it will also reduce hoarding of multiple bases as gangs would need to have lykbi that falls into the gang of the current holders of other bases.
