    Exclamation Poor Quality Staff?

    Poor Quality Staff

Though its just one of many issues haunting the game, I have a proposal to make to resolve this issue. We know good staff are hard to find and corruption is due to a desperate need for money, for material goods that are bought with the money. The current administration did not take this into consideration when hiring staff, which led to many staff getting fired soon as they got hired because they were not suitable for the job.

Let's not waste time hiring and firing - the time could have been spent improving the game, checking reports, patrolling the streets of Era.

    ONE THING TO CHANGE

What if I told you the administration just has to change one thing. Something so simple, something so easy to overlook, something that has never been implemented - and its just one thing. Introducing Admin Authority Deposit (AAD)!

What is AAD? How does it work?

Basically, whenever a person applies for an admin position and gets accepted, he or she is to pay 100 000 gralats as a deposit. (Wait, wait, hear me out first) This deposit is the AAD and will be returned to the admin in full once he/she decides to retire from service or got fired for forgivable reasons. If however, the admin was fired for blatant and serious abuse of power, it would be up to the discretion of the higher ups to decide how much of the AAD they want to return to the admin. It could be 75%, or 50% or 0% depending on the severity. This is to compensate for the reputation of the administration and the harm done to the community.

    WHY AAD?

Now this is the main part. Why AAD? Okay, see, if a person is desperate for money, there is a high tendency to be corrupt. We will also question the intention of the person applying to be an admin - is he here for the power? or the money? or is it to genuinely serve the community, as everyone would politically-correctly put it. If the person cannot produce 100k Gralats, there is no substantial basis to think that he/she is not desperate for money, and it is in a way an assessment of his/her corrupt tendencies.

Another reason for AAD is to introduce something to lose, to prevent admins from abusing their powers or giving substandard services. For example, if an admin who doesn't wish to be an admin anymore, the loss of powers after being fired would not mean anything to him or her. He or she could abuse powers as much as he/she likes until he gets fired and by then damage would have already been done. However, if he or she has possible 100k gralats at stake, they would less likely fool around even if its one of their last times being in power.

Thirdly, this AAD acts as a filter against power-hungry, money-eyed individuals looking to join the team just for personal gains. Now that they have 100k at stake, these individuals would be more professional as they know that they have something at stake. It speeds up the hiring process as well as people do not need to get fired and hired, fired and hired and this saves a lot of time.

Take note that this is not a tax. I repeat, the AAD will be returned unless staff are fired for severe abuses of power.
A TAX DOES THE BEST ATTACKS ON UNFAIRNESS.
