Hats?

I've been seeing a very rare occurrence having to do with hats disappearing from inventories.
Anyone know why this happens? I've had it happen to me twice which prompted me to re-buy the hats which luckily aren't old ones.

A few players other than me have also experienced this issue and it doesn't get talked about much.
Some of the hats that I've got taken away from my inventory: ROBG Cigarette Hat, Sushi Hat (Era Mall).
I didn't use the hats a lot as well, so for it to just disappear from my hat inventory is weird.

I've already re-purchased the hats, I'm just curious as to why this happens.

If this issue repeats try contacting SPRs in game it’ll help raise concern and staff will return your hat so you won’t have to re-purchase it.
