    Why? Shells are earned, trading requires a tiny bit of effort at the moment through digging shells, buying shells would destroy eras trading economy and lead to endlessly whining by people who lost out.

    No it wouldn't. The market would be flooded by shells and prices would be sky high. Only people who buy hundreds of packs would be able to buy items. More and more people would have money from trading for stupid amounts of shells that all prices of normal items would need to increase. Think of this, bar might need to be priced at anywhere between 1 and 3 million to stop everyone having it.
